Chillout with Reflexology
Chillout with Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is an ancient therapy that can be traced back to many cultures in China, Japan and Egypt as long as 5000 years ago. Reflexology arrived in Great Britain in the 1960s.

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that works on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet that relate to every part of the body and its organ. By stimulating these reflex points, it may improve general wellbeing and in turn encourage relaxation.

The wonderful thing about Reflexology as it be enjoyed by anyone: a young baby to a more mature person.

If the pressure of everyday life is leaving you feeling stressed, exhausted and in need of some ‘me’ time then reflexology may be the answer.

Some benefits of a Reflexology treatment might include:

  • A general feeling of relaxation
  • A sense of wellbeing
  • Improved sleep

Reflexology Treatment

A  Reflexology treatment is usually given in a comfortable reclining chair or massage couch. Only the socks and shoes need to be removed ready to enjoy a treatment.

The best after care advice after a treatment is to drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins and if possible have a rest to allow the body to relax and maximise the effects of the treatment.

You can have a Reflexology treatment whenever you feel that you need one. Some people have them on a monthly basis, whereas others prefer to have them more regularly. It is completely up to you.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is a wonderfully relaxing treatment whereby the upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, scalp and face (without oils) are massaged. This can relieve tension and encourage relaxation. When you have an Indian head massage with me, you will be sitting on a comfortable chair in an upright position. There is no need to remove any clothing!

Hopi Ear Candling Treatment

Hopi ear candling is a gentle therapy that can help relieve common conditions like blocked ears, rhinitis and sinusitis. It is a very relaxing and safe treatment whereby an ear candle tube is placed in the client’s ear in a vertical position and lit. The warmth of the candle works like a chimney as the warm air rises within the ear to gently massage the ear drum. This can help to regulate the pressure within the ear and help to alleviate excess wax.
